Installation of bearing seat

INSTALLATION OF BEARING SEAT

Installation of top screw locking bearing with seat

1. Check the accuracy of the shaft
Before installing the bearing, first check whether the dimensional tolerance of the shaft is qualified, whether the shaft is bent, bruised, burred, etc., and add some lubricating oil to the shaft.
2. Check the rigidity and flatness of the mounting surface
The frame on which the bearing is installed must be rigid enough, and the flatness of the installation part should not be greater than 0.15mm.
3. Install the seat bearing
Avoid using metal objects such as hammers to hit the bearings for installation. Especially for bearings with back-up ring seals, knocking the bearing may cause the back-up ring to move inward and contact the inner seal ring to cause friction during operation, causing the bearing to rotate incorrectly or the temperature to rise sharply and burn the bearing. When the inner hole of the bearing and the shaft fit tightly, it is recommended to use a pressure device to press the end face of the inner ring for installation.
4. Preload bearing seat
Excessive tightening bolt torque may cause deformation of the bearing seat. Appropriate tightening torque must be used to lock the bolts. Zhongda Bearing recommends that the locking bolts and washers be used together when installing the bearing seat, because if the locking bolt is used alone The bolts lock the bearing seat, and tightening the bolts may cause damage to the bearing seat.
5. Tighten the bearing jackscrew
The torque for tightening the jack screw is the recommended torque.
6. Retighten the bearing seat
Excessive tightening bolt torque may cause deformation of the bearing seat. Appropriate tightening torque must be used to tighten the bolts.

Installation of eccentric sleeve locked bearing with seat

Note: Products with eccentric sleeves are not recommended for use in situations where the direction of rotation changes, because changes in the direction of rotation may cause the eccentric sleeve to loosen. The preparation work for products with eccentric sleeves is the same as for products with top wires.
1. Install the seat bearing
Avoid using metal objects such as hammers to hit the bearings for installation. Especially for bearings with back-up ring seals, when the bearing is struck, the back-up ring may move inward and contact the inner seal ring to cause friction during operation, causing the bearing to rotate incorrectly or the temperature to rise sharply and burn the bearing. When the inner hole of the bearing and the shaft fit tightly, it is recommended to use a pressure device to press the end face of the inner ring for installation.
3. Install the eccentric sleeve
Fit the eccentric sleeve to the inner ring boss, and manually turn the eccentric sleeve in the direction of shaft rotation to temporarily tighten it.
4. Rotate the eccentric sleeve
Insert the tool rod into the cylindrical concave hole on the outer diameter of the eccentric sleeve, tap the tool rod to make the eccentric sleeve rotate in the direction of shaft rotation, and tightly hug the installation shaft.
5. Lock the eccentric sleeve
Lock the jackscrew on the eccentric sleeve to the shaft. For recommended locking torque, see the Zhongda Bearing product manual.
6. Retighten the bearing seat
Excessive tightening bolt torque may cause deformation of the bearing seat. Appropriate tightening torque must be used to tighten the bolts.

Installation of adapter sleeve locking seated bearings

Note: For bearings with adapter sleeves, even if they are subject to impact loads or vibration loads, there is no need to worry about the fit between the shaft and the inner ring becoming loose. However, housed bearings with adapter sleeves cannot be used in situations that bear large axial loads. The preparation work for products with adapter sleeves is the same as those with top wires.
1. Install the tightening bushing onto the shaft
Adjust the position of the adapter bushing so that the taper is in the center of the bearing. To help install the adapter bushing onto the shaft, use a screwdriver or similar tool to pry the groove in the bushing wider.
2. Install the seat bearing
Place the tapered bore housed bearing on the adapter bushing.
4. Install the retaining bushing tightly
Gently tap the bushing surface until the bearing and bushing make proper contact.
5. Install bushing gasket and nut
Install the gasket and tighten the nut manually
6. Locking bushing nut
Use a tool (a screwdriver if you don't have a tool) on the groove of the nut and tap it with a hammer. Stop beating after the nut has rotated 60-90 degrees.
Be careful not to knock the retainer, and be careful not to over-tighten the nut, as this will cause the inner ring to deform and cause it to become hot and stuck.
7. Nuts to prevent loosening
Bend the tab on the edge of the gasket and snap it against the notch of the nut to prevent the nut from loosening.
Be careful not to loosen the nut backward to align the tab and notch, but to tighten the nut forward to align.
8. Retighten the bearing seat
Excessive tightening bolt torque may cause deformation of the bearing seat. Appropriate tightening torque must be used to tighten the bolts.

Installation of seated bearings with terminal cover

Preparation, installation of bearings on shafts, and installation of bearing seats are the same as for standard products.
1. Fill with grease
In order to enhance the dustproof and waterproof function, fill 2/3 of the space between the rubber sealing lip and the internal space of the terminal cover with grease.
2. Install the seat bearing
Thread a grease-filled terminal cover onto the shaft, and then install the mounted bearing (the method is the same as the standard product). It is recommended to chamfer the end of the shaft to avoid damaging the rubber sealing lip on the terminal cover.
